Joey and I purchased a year pass to a local State Park near our home and have been there a few times already. It is so peaceful, relaxing, and it is something my husband really (REALLY) enjoys as well. I'll pack up our bag with water bottles, apples, granola bars and PB packs (sunscreen & bug spray, too!!) - and we'll spend a few hours walking around the park, sight seeing and looking at the water. I never thought i'd be one to say that I enjoy hiking - but I have really learned to love it.
We must have been on the lake for 4 hours and I felt like I could have stayed out there all day. Its like we didn't have a care in the world.... except making sure our paddles didn't smack each others. (Ps. Joey and I need to work on that... #amateurs). We have been looking at purchasing a kayak(s) of our own; any recommendations?
I spotted this Color Me Calm book, flipped through, and knew it was the one I needed to get. Within hours of getting it, I had finished my first picture - and couldn't believe it. I don't think I was thinking, at all, while coloring. I was just focused on the colors, the picture, the shading, and how relaxed I was. My mind was clear, yet I was hyper focusing on this picture. I guess these things really do work! I have finished a few other pictures over the course of the last few weeks, and am trying to work on my 'coloring skills' and shading (the picture above is one of my most recent ones, and favorite so far). I'll pick up my coloring book in the morning while I have coffee, in the afternoon, or at night when we are lounging. It is so fun and I highly recommend you going out and getting one for yourself. Happy Coloring!
