Naturally, when she mentioned this idea, hesitation and nervousness set in. Three days?! Was I going to have to miss my workouts, will I need to food prep before going?! Thankfully (if you've followed my story) you will know that I've changed my life around these last few months, so when the trip was just around the corner... there was not a single bit worry (besides whether or not all of our stuff would fit in my SUV - I swear you'd think we were going on a one month excursion..... #gottabepreparedforanything).
I didn't stress about a thing.
I didn't wear a drop of makeup.
I enjoyed quality time with some of the greatest friends in the world.
I laughed, a lot.
I ate really yummy food (shout out to Katie on those scotcharoos made with GF honey nut chex... aka sniker-roos)
I hiked and enjoyed the outdoors.
I felt so at peace.
Here are a few of my favorites from the weekend.
Check out Sadie Lincoln's 10 Minute Barre3 Kitchen video. One of my all time favorites!
Ps. I search for Gluten Free Graham Crackers at MULTIPLE stores and had no luck at all. Any ideas where I can find these?!
Joey was SO in his element. I love seeing him so happy and carefree. Maybe someday we'll get a camper of our own so we can do things like this more often. Key word... maybe... don't get too excited yet, Joey.
The only thing missing from around the campfire was a blanket scarf from the Simply Taralynn Collection. If you haven't checked out the cute, comfy and cozy Fall items... now is the time!
So, in all - camping was a great success. It gave me a new appreciation for where I am at in my life... because, sometimes its the little experiences that make you realize how far you've come, and how thankful you are to be.. exactly where you are.
