I used to workout as a form of punishment. I used to overwork and under-nourish my body all in hopes of being 'thin' and 'super healthy' (#lol). I used to have so much anxiety surrounding things I could not control - yet tried my hardest TO control. What I was doing to my body wasn't ok - and, in turn, it showed me who was boss (#hypothalamicamenorrhea).
Over the years I've learned what HEALTHY truly means for me and MY body. I had to learn to love myself before I could care for and love a child. I have no doubt that my journey has made me a better person AND Mother. If you're struggling, I encourage you to work on yourself and find what truly makes you (and your body) happy. One size doesn't fit all and what works for your body may not work for the next person.
Give yourself grace, learn how to relax and trust in the process of finding your TRUE health; mentally, physically & emotionally.
